08:16 In a forest, there were many divergent paths. She could choose.
The path was hers and hers alone to choose.
She chose based on her gut instincts in a given moment.
Sometimes at first it would seem she had chosen unwisely
Like she’d acted out of love, forgiveness and compassion
and it may have been interpreted as submission, or stupidity
but such was the way of the world.
sometimes there were trolls, and dragons, and knights in shining armour
sometimes they played their parts well, or sometimes they bungled them,
as she herself did
but they were just doing their best and being themselves
just as she herself was.
In the end, everything worked out all right.
because of True Love, the true wine
of Life.

08:45 Part II
True Love. Let’s see. What is True Love?
According to Zen Buddhism, it is:
1. Maitri – kindness or benevolence
“Conquer the angry one by not getting angry; conquer the wicked by goodness; conquer the stingy by generosity, and the liar by speaking the truth.” – Buddha
2. Karuna – compassion
“If we could see the miracle of a single flower clearly our whole life would change.” – Buddha
3. Mudita – joy or happiness
“There is no path to happiness: happiness is the path.” – Buddha
4. Upeksha – freedom
“The price of freedom is simply choosing to be.” – Buddha
“Love is a gift of one’s inner most soul to another so both can be whole.” – Buddha

Part III
Had she acted out of True Love? If yes, then True Love was already hers. She needed nothing further. No reciprocation, no recognition, no validation, nor condemnation… towards herself nor towards others. She was herself, acting from Love. And she loved herself for it.
If yes, she was True Love.

Six months is a long time. I don’t have a date. I quit and then several weeks later, I couldn’t remember how long it had been, I was so frazzled. After a half a year, what are your impressions of life as a nondrinker?

Aw thanks Jeff for showing up here. Funny I recently wrote a comment about that on nomorebeer2019’s latest post (called ” blaaaaaaargh!” lol) (she commented above, if you want to follow her name link to her awesome blog). Basically it’s intense, but it’s helping me gain the clarity I needed to do whatever I feel I was born to do. Sometimes that’s really scary. But sometimes it’s like feeling high on the wine of life.

I love this! One of your True Love quotes really grabbed me which is “There is no path to happiness, happiness is the path.” Just so true and sometimes I forget that! Happy 6 months! 😊🌺😊🌺 You are awesome-sauce! 🙌🏻😃
